A virtual private server (VPS) is a secure virtual computer hosted in a data centre that you can access remotely 24/7. It allows you to run trading platforms, expert advisors (EAs), and automated strategies continuously with high speed, low latency, and without relying on your personal computer or internet connection.
To receive one of our free VPS plans (Core, Plus, Pro), you need to be an active Pepperstone Pro client and meet the required criteria. Your VPS access auto-renews each month as long as you maintain the required minimum notional volume. Please refer to the relevant section above.

Setting up Pepperstone’s VPS is easy. Please follow the steps outlined below:
- Open the 1Password key provided in the email using your email address.
- Download and open the RDP file provided to you in the 1Password key.
- Click ‘connect’
- Enter the temporary password provided in the 1Password key. If you are using Remote Desktop Connection, make sure to add ‘\’ before the username provided in the 1Password key. Please reset the password immediately after successful login.
Note: We recommend to restart the VPS every weekend which can be done by clicking on the ‘start’ menu (Windows icon), then the power button, and choose ‘restart’.
