Pepperstone's revenue explained
These are the direct costs you pay when you trade with us. We focus on reliability and clarity, no hidden mark-ups or surprises.

Spreads
Spreads are the difference between the bid (sell) and ask (buy) price of a tradable market. They’re built around the current market price of an asset and vary depending on market conditions. We charge spreads as part of the price you trade at, so you can see it clearly at the point of execution. On our Razor account, you can enjoy raw spreads from 0.0 points1 on margin FX.
Example
If the underlying market (mid) price for EUR/USD is 1.13500 and the spread is 0.5 points, the prices shown on the platform would be:
Sell (bid) price: 1.134975
Buy (ask) price: 1.135025
The spread is built into these prices and represents the cost of entering the trade. You’ll always buy slightly above the market price and sell slightly below it.

Commission
Commission is a fixed fee you pay to execute a trade, depending on your account type and the asset. On both our Standard and Razor accounts, you’ll pay commission when trading CFDs on shares, ranging from 0.07% to 0.20% per side. When trading margin FX on a Razor account, you’ll also pay fixed commissions from $3.50 per lot, per side.

Overnight funding (swap rates)
Swap rates are the industry-standard interest rates you pay or earn when you hold a position overnight. If you keep a trade open past 5 pm New York time, an adjustment is made to reflect the cost of rolling your position to the next trading day. The exact amount depends on the asset, interest-rate benchmarks, and other market factors.
