CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 81.3% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Fully closing a position (Webtrader)

You can fully close positions one at a time. You can also close all positions of the same instrument at once. Positions can also be closed by netting off.

The Pepperstone app and Webtrader are synchronised, so a trade fully closed in Webtrader will automatically be fully closed in the app, and vice versa.

Note: In this procedure, the word ‘click’ refers to either a click or a tap.

To fully close a single position

1. Display your positions:

2. Either:

a. click X at the far right of the order you want to fully close or

b. right-click (or press and hold) on the order and select Close Position from the menu that appears.

If One-click trading is enabled, the position is immediately closed.

If One-click trading is not enabled, the Close Position window appears:

3. Leave the value in the Lots to Close field unchanged and click Close Position.

Tip: If you reduce the value in the Lots to Close field, the position will only be partially closed.

Close all positions of the same instrument

1. Display your positions.

2. Select Net Aggregation in the title bar of the Positions panel. The positions are grouped by instrument:

3. Click X at the far right of the group heading for the instrument whose positions you want to close.

4. If One-click trading is enabled, the positions are closed immediately, otherwise click Confirm on the Close Positions Confirmation message.
