Trading Hours During Market Times

Trading hours for most currency pairs are 24 hours a day, with a two-minute break from server time 23:59 to server time 00:01; on Fridays, trading stops at server time 23:55, 5 minutes earlier than 23:59, to prevent the widening of spreads caused by liquidity providers going offline over the weekend. Trading hours may vary due to seasonal and market factors.

Server time is GMT + 3 during US daylight saving time, and GMT + 2 during non-daylight saving periods in the US; this allows the daily candle to close at the end of each New York trading day. The New York close is widely regarded as the end of the trading day.

For certain currencies and products, there are some exceptions to these rules, outlined below:

Round-the-Clock Trading

Pre-market and after-hours trading offer traders the opportunity to take advantage of market movements and high trading volumes outside traditional cash trading hours, allowing traders to gain exposure and capture potential price movements without waiting for the main trading session to reopen.
