This week concludes with the US Independence Day bank holiday which means the monthly payrolls report will be released on Thursday, instead of Friday, at its usual time of 12.30 GMT (+1 UK). The all-important report always has the capacity to shock nervous markets and never is that more true than for the July report after last month’s blockbuster surprise.
