Partially closing a position (Webtrader)

The Pepperstone app and Webtrader are synchronised, so a trade partially closed in Webtrader will automatically be partially closed in the app, and vice versa.

Note: In this procedure, the word ‘click’ refers to either a click or a tap.

1. If One-click trading is enabled, disable it.

2. Click or tap Positions on the main menu bar. The Positions panel appears:

3. Either

a. click X at the far right of the order you want to partially close or

b. right-click (or press and hold) on the order and select Close Position from the menu that appears.

The Close Position window appears:

4. Enter the number of lots you want to close in the Lots to Close field.

! The value in the Lots to Close field when the Close Position window opens is the order’s total number of lots. If you don’t override this value with a smaller number, the order is fully closed if you proceed.

5. Click Close Position.
