Different ways to close positions (mobile)

You can close all positions at once (Method 1 below), a selected position (Methods 2 and 3) or all positions of the same instrument (Method 4).

The Pepperstone app and Webtrader are synchronised, so a trade closed in the app will automatically be closed in Webtrader, and vice versa.

1. Tap Portfolio at the bottom right of the screen.

If Portfolio is not visible, either tap or close any secondary window.


2. Tap Positions. A list of your current positions appears:


3. To close all positions (Method 1):

a. Tap Close all.

b. Tap Close all on the confirmation message.

Tip: If you decide not to close all orders, tap away from the confirmation message.


4. To close one or more positions (Method 2):

a. With positions listed individually, tap trash bin icon beside a position you want to close.

b. Tap Close all.

c. To close another position, repeat from step 4a.


5. To close one or more positions (Method 3):

a. With positions listed individually, tap the position you want to close.

b. Tap Close at the top right of the screen.

c. Tap Close all.

d. To close another position, repeat from step 5a.


6. To close one or more positions (Method 4):

a. Tap to group the positions by instrument.

b. Tap trash bin icon beside a position or group of positions you want to close.

c. Tap Close all [symbol of instrument].

d. To close another position or group, repeat from step 6a.

Tip: Method 3 (from step 5) gives you an opportunity to review a position before closing it.
