Top Online Tips for Introducing Forex Brokers

By Sam Eder http://fxrenew.com/

Times have changed for online businesses.

Many of the old techniques are no longer effective, so it’s important to adapt your methods if you want to survive and prosper.

These days the focus should be on adding value to the customer throughout the marketing & sales process (giving instead of taking), while conducting yourself in a professional and trustworthy manner.

In this article I go into some tips that have worked for us – and just might work for you too.

Your first impression with the customer

When it comes to your website, your home page is the first port of call for visitors. You only get a few seconds to make an initial impression, so it is critical that your home page comes across well.

Here are a few basic tips for your website:

  • Have a clear message on your home page. This message should tell the customers what you do, and state the benefit of working with you. This will be your first (and often only) chance to capture the user’s attention.
  • Have a prominent call to action button. You need to make sure people know exactly where to click in order to do business with you, or to input their email address for more information.
  • Avoid “stock” images. You know that picture with the person celebrating in front of the laptop? People see that image (and other stock images) as cheesy, and it decreases trust. For the main images on your site, get a custom design or look for a cutting edge image on creative market.

Avoid cheesy images like this as they decrease trust

You can see these principles in action on FX Renew. On the home page we have an eye catching video that grabs the user’s attention.

As you scroll down the page, there are some custom images:

We have a clear message so people know what we do straight away:

“Get Premium Forex Signals and Education from ex-Bank, Industry and Hedge Fund Traders”

This is followed with a short description of what the customer will receive:

Join FX Renew and you’ll receive the best Forex signals, access to our traders live in the chat room, and world-class training and education from a team with 100 years’ trading experience with banks, brokers and hedge funds

We have the simple call to action beneath the statement on a big blue button, to direct them to the page we would like them to visit next.

How to get traffic

Having a nicely designed homepage with a clear message does not automatically mean that traffic will simply flock to your website.

Traditional methods such as SEO, Google AdWords, banner ads and paid emails can be expensive, and are often less effective than they have been in the past. The answer lies in partnerships.

Build relationships with people that already have traffic.

It is about adding value. If you can add enough value to your partner’s email list, they will be only too willing to send an email on your behalf, thus giving you the opportunity to grow your list.

So what should you offer?

Create something of massive value, then give it away for free

Building your email list can be simple (if not easy!). You need to give prospective customers something of massive value in exchange for their email. What should this be?

Start by asking yourself ‘What digital product could I create, that my users would willingly pay $200-300 for?’

Then, give that away for free.

(Yes you heard us right – for free)

This way you will have potential customers clamouring to give you their email address, because they see the value in providing you their information.

At FX Renew we created The Advanced Forex Course for Smart Traders to give away for free.

This has increased conversion to our email list by over 100%. By providing as much value as possible up-front, we gain good will and authority with our prospective customers.

Nurture your clients throughout the sales process

Once you have captured the email address, you can then begin the sales process.

The modern sales process has evolved from the hard sell approach of yester-year. Now it is about establishing trust through teaching the client about their interests.

You want to be known as a thought leader. When you are, people will look to you for advice on which broker they should use.

Using services like Aweber or Mailchimp you can easily set-up an email nurture to do the job for you. Email nurtures are a series of emails that go out to the clients on your email list automatically.

Generally, you want the nurture emails to be informational, with 20-25% having a call to action to do some business with you.

In your email nurture, be sure to insert an email telling people why you recommend your broker, with a link to the account application.

At FX Renew we take the nurture content to the extreme. We have a series of 21 emails that go out to customers, at a rate of one per week, of which only the last one is a marketing email.

We also provide a consistent flow of new high value information on our blog. Since our launch a year ago, we have only sent out three marketing emails to our list (and these were all in one week around a special offer).

You might wonder how we get business without sending marketing emails?

Because our potential customers are coming to our site and learning, they get interested in what we do and will click on the subtle calls to action we have on the website.

Asking for business

If, at this stage, you have established your value and authority through the provision of free information, then you have earned the right to ask for business.

To do this, you want to create a compelling offer that includes added bonuses. There are two types of incentives you can use to do this.

  1. A joint incentive with the broker.
  2. An exclusive incentive for your clients only, such as free signals or further education if they open an account with a broker through you.

Again, if you are going with option two, think about what clients would pay good money for and give it to them for free in exchange for using your recommended broker.

Over to you...

Now it’s your turn.

It’s a brave new world out there. The spammy and/or or pushy tactics of yesteryear generate little value and often even worse results.

The new way of marketing is to be embraced. Spend your energy giving and not only will your audience give back to you, but you will find the process rewarding and enjoyable.

What steps can you take now to improve your offering and, more importantly, give more?
