Some basic information about the FTSE developed world index fund The full quoted name for the fund is the FTSE Developed World ex-U.K. Equity Index Fund. It is known as a passive fund. A passive fund is a buy-and-hold investment strategy that looks to minimise fees by limiting the amount of trades it executes. The fund looks to track the index by replicating the same investments as the weighted capital of the index. The fund will remain fully invested except in extraordinary markets/circumstances.
